Mission

Contribute to the goals defined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by all member states of the United Nations in 2015, through direct and indirect investments.

Strategy

The investment strategy is focused-indirectly through funds-or, in a minority part, directly in co-investment-on companies based in Italy, but may also invest residually in European funds in order to attract international expertise and investment to the Italian market.

The funds targeted for investment will mainly be private equity, private debt and social basket bond funds and, residually, late-stage venture capital funds.

Sustainability disclosure

FOF Impact is classified as Article 9 under EU Regulation 2019/2088. The sustainable investment objective of the Fund is to contribute to the goals defined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The Fund will invest a minority portion of the commitment, in the form of co-investments, in Italian social enterprises that pursue sustainable development goals chosen by the Fund and that are present in the investment portfolios of the subscribed funds.

Luigi Tommasini is Head of Strategic Initiatives and Senior Partner at Fondo Italiano d'Investimento SGR, where he joined in November 2010. Previously, he was a member of the funds-of-funds team of AXA Private Equity, where he completed transactions in the primaries and secondaries. He has served on several advisory boards of Italian and pan-European funds. He has been a member of the investment committee of the AXA Private Equity small buyout/expansion fund as well as of the direct investments of Fondo Italiano. Beforehand, he worked for Apax Partner and began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey&Company serving their offices in Milan, São Paulo (Brazil), and San Francisco (USA). Luigi graduated with honours from Bocconi University in Milan and obtained his MBA (Palmer Scholar) from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania.

Federica Maccaferri is Partner at Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR, that she joined in March 2017. She previously worked for 9 years at Mediobanca, holding different positions inside the Corporate & Investment Banking dept. From 2008 to 2011 she worked as equity research analyst in the Mediobanca securities division, with a particolar focus on banking and real estate sectors, devoloping analitical, critical and modeling skills. Later she worked inside the Corporate Finance division, where she developed particular skills related to debt advisory and extraordinary finance, taking part into M&A operations, company and debt valuations, public tender, exchange offers and IPO’s. She graduated in Management Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan.

Clementina Bonaduce has been Partner at Fondo Italiano d'Investimento SGR, since August 2014. From 2013 to 2014 she worked in Garnell Advisory as a business analyst where she mainly followed the investments of a renewable energy fund and several extraordinary finance transactions of SMEs. Previously, she worked as an intern in Rothschild's M&A team. Clementina graduated with honors in Corporate Finance at L. Bocconi University in Milan. During her academic career, she participated to an Exchange Program at the Norwegian School of Economics.

Benedetta Vincenti is Senior Investment Manager at Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR, where she joined in November 2019. She gained previous experience in the private equity sector, working as an intern at Nord Holding in Hannover and as an Analyst at LFPE SA in Geneva. She also worked as an intern in the M&A sector at La Compagnia Finanziaria in Milan. She holds a MSc in Administration, Finance and Control from Bocconi University.

Gianni joined Fondo Italiano d'Investimento SGR as an Investment Manager in June 2024. Previously, he held the position of Portfolio Manager at Yarpa Investimenti SGR between 2023 and 2024, where he was responsible for the monitoring activities of Yarpa’s private equity funds of funds. From 2014 to 2023 he worked at Unipolsai Assicurazioni, where he was involved in the portfolio selection and construction process in private equity, infrastructure equity, private debt and hedge funds. Beforehand, he gained six years of experience at Fondiaria Sai in the structuring of insurance products. Gianni holds a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Siena.

Anna Pezone has been a Portfolio Manager at Fondo Italiano d'Investimento SGR since June 2020. Prior to that, she worked at the Family Office Bootes Srl where she was in charge of all administrative functions and relations with subsidiaries and outsourcers. In the previous nine years she worked at Space Holding Srl in the role of Office manager and Head of the corporate technical secretariat. From 2007 to 2018 she worked as head of all administrative activities at Mezzanine S.r.l. and subsequently at Inbetween SGR S.p.A., covering transversal roles that allowed her to consolidate her administrative, financial and relational skills and to broaden her knowledge in the field of regulations governing SGRs in relations with supervisory authorities. From 1998 to 2007 she worked as an Investor Relator and Head of the Lugano Branch of Kiwi I and Kiwi II Ventura Servicos Venture Capital Funds. Anna graduated with honors in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature from Università Federico II di Napoli.

He previously worked in Mediobanca, performing a one-year internship as Equity Research Analyst in Mediobanca Securities division, with a special focus on TMT and FIG, participating in an IPO process. Vera holds a master's degree in Foreign Languages and Literature with a specialization in Information Science and Social Communications from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
