Agreements and Collaborations
On 15th November 2010 Fondo Italiano d’Investimento signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Confindustria, with the aim of promoting the Fund’s investment activities, and through the creation of information desks.
Fondo Italiano d’Investimento and Borsa Italiana (Italian Stock Exchange) have signed an agreement to promote the ELITE project and illustrate to SMEs and the Fund's portfolio companies the benefits of taking part in the programme.
European Investment Fund
On 24th October 2011 Fondo Italiano d'Investimento signed a collaboration and co-investment agreement with the European Investment Fund. The aim of the agreement is to jointly support the activity of Italian funds dedicated to growth capital, and envisaging an initial allocation of EUR 100 million on behalf of each institution.
On 11th November 2014, the agreement was renewed and expanded, with the aim of coinvest a total of 500-600 million euros in private equity and private debt funds dedicated to small and medium-sized Italian companies and venture capital funds.
As well, in 2011 the Fund signed an agreement with ISMEA aimed at implementing a programme of systematic collaboration in the identification and evaluation, of co-investments in companies that operate in the farming, fishing and aquaculture sectors. Such agreement foresees the possible utilization, by ISMEA, of its own dedicated closed-end fund.
Fondo Italiano d’Investimento will partecipate with Consob, Abi, Aifi, Assirevi, Assogestioni, Assosim, Borsa Italiana, Confindustria and Fondo Strategico Italiano in the project Più Borsa that has led to the signing of a memorandum of understanding containing commitments and measures to promote a common policy for the development of a national securities market.
During July, 2015 an agreement has been signed with Invitalia (Agenzia nazionale per l’attrazione degli investimenti e lo sviluppo d’impresa), which, among others, owns Invitalia Ventures Sgr. That agreement consider a cooperation finalized at the development of a friendly environment to enterprises growth with the mean of venture capital operations and possible co-investments in other venture capital funds.
Fondazione Ricerca ed Imprenditorialità
During December, 2015 a memorandum of understanding has been signed with Fondazione Ricerca ed Imprenditorialità, which is an institution with the goal of promoting and feeding open innovation process, also supporting start up and spin off. On the base of this agreement, the foundation propose the best firms of its network to FII, which, on an optional basis, could eventually propose those firms to its portfolio venture capital funds.
